Vancouver Island Coaches Association
Welcome to the Vancouver Island Coaches Association (VICoaches), the local chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF)**, servicing Victoria, the Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island. The core purpose of VICoaches is to develop, support and promote business and personal coaches and coaching on Vancouver Island by providing networking opportunities, providing professional development opportunities as well as educating the business and general public about the benefits of coaching.
**ICF members who have nominated Victoria/South Vancouver Island as their region are automatically registered as members of the Vancouver Island Coaches Association. (No additional registration or fees are required.)

International Coach Federation

The core purpose of the International Coach Federation is To advance the art, science and practice of professional coaching.
The ICF establishes the Code of Ethics and Professional Code of Conduct that govern and inform the practice and profession of coaching as well as the Core Competencies that define the required skill set of a professional coach and establish the foundation for the professional credentialing examination and accreditation for coach training programs. These Codes and regulations provide the standard for consumer expectations for the appropriate level and type of service that they will receive when hiring a coach.
Mid Island Coaches Network (MICN)
The Mid-Island Coaches Network (MICN) is a social networking branch of the Vancouver Island Coaches Association that provides networking and professional development opportunities closer to home for ICF/VICA members and coaches located in the mid- to north island. MICN meets monthly in the Nanaimo area and rotates social networking meetings with learning sessions and workshops. We invite ICF members and non-members to join our GROUPSITE forum and attend our monthly meetings.
ICF Cascadia Region
In the Fall of 2010, leaders from each of the local ICF chapters in Seattle (Puget Sound), Portland, Denver, Vancouver, Calgary, Okanagan, and Edmonton connected and agreed on an initiative to form a new group, now known as the “ICF Cascadia Region”. The intent of this group is to share ideas and resources and collaborate to form community and enhance development opportunities within our geographic region.
